The Gator Snow Ski Club's existence
began in the early 1970's when a small group of transplanted
Pratt & Whitney employees from Connecticut banded together with
local ski enthusiasts in order to inform and promote the sport
of snow skiing. Today the Club has grown to approximately 800
members. Our founding fathers adopted the alligator logo
because of its association with South Florida. They did not
intend to emulate some University in Gainesville!
Our ski program has evolved into one of the best anywhere. We
typically visit from 9 to 10 resorts each season taking from 40
to sometimes as many as 160 Gators.
Our famous "Lean, Mean, Social Team"
encompass countless volunteers that give generously of their
time and energy to help whenever possible, provide the best
parties and social events for members every month.
In addition to our ski trips and monthly socials, our summer
program has taken us to exotic places such as Costa Rica and the
Grand Canyon. We enjoy Dolphins and Panthers games, beach
parties, dances, hayrides, whitewater rafting, houseboat trips,
golf outings and apres' work get-togethers every Friday!
Our annual fundraisers for
Special Olympics of Palm Beach County, VA Disabled Skiers
Program, Toys for Tots, and Animal Rescue League has allowed us
to give back thousands of dollars to worthy causes in our
community.
Come join us and get involved. You won't be
disappointed and you WILL make new friends!
